With the weather finally warming up in New Jersey, I’m feeling inspired to wear some pretty and flowy dresses.
I don’t normally dress up unless it’s for a special occasion, but being cooped up so much this last year has caused me to re-assess what counts as an “occasion.”
For example, going out to lunch with family members I haven’t seen in a long time is more than enough of a reason to put on a pretty maxi!
I wanted to share some of the spring dresses that are at the top of my list to wear! Some of these are new and some I’ve had for a while, but they’re all perfect for the spring and summer months!
I love the bright blue color as well as all of the pretty details on this dress. The crochet cutout in the center and along the top and bottom of the dress make it a little fancier, in my opinion.
The skirt flares out a bit and has a lining, and overall this is a comfortable yet flattering piece that I’m excited to wear.
This dress is perfect for any future brides, but would also be great for any formal spring or summer event, a nice dinner, a vacation dress, etc.
The ruched detailing on the front is very flattering, and the pretty lace details on the top and skirt are beautiful. The off-the-shoulder sleeves fit snugly enough to stay in place even when moving your arms up and down.
This dress is one of my favorites that I just got! I love the pops of black among all of the white and the lace details throughout the dress.
It has a pretty high-low skirt and is a little more fitted at the waist for added drama. What a great dress for the warm weather.
White and Blue Maxi Dress
I got this dress on sale in the winter and am excited to finally wear it! I love the white and blue pattern and the fact that it is a little shorter in the front to show off your shoes.
The ruffle detail on the hem adds a little more girly flair, and the straps are adjustable (a must for me because I don’t like dresses falling too low).
Ruffle Floral Maxi Dress
Floral dresses always remind me of the spring, and I love the colors of this one. I’m also a big fan of the pretty ruffle detail that goes down the front and across the hem.
I’m planning to wear this when we go to the Bahamas for a friend’s wedding. It gives me a tropical feel and I love the extra show of leg on one side.
Sunflower Tank Dress
I got this dress from Amazon a couple of years ago, and have worn it so much since then! It’s such an easy throw-on-and-go piece, but can also be accessorized a bunch of different ways.
This dress comes in a bunch of different patterns and colors, but I personally like the sunflowers on black. I’ve worn this with a leather or denim jacket thrown on top, sneakers or wedge heels, and sometimes added a belt to accentuate my waist.
Blue Ruched Bodycon Dress
This is definitely more of a going-out dress, but it can be worn for a variety of occasions from a celebration with family and friends to a dinner date.
I love the light blue shade for spring, and the semi-sheer sleeves can be worn on- or off-the-shoulder.
Butterfly Mini Dress
I’ve always been a big fan of butterflies, so I’m excited to see them trending and all over stores lately.
This velvet dress features a beautiful pink, blue, and black butterfly pattern as well as short sleeves and a slight mock neck.
This is a more casual piece but can definitely be dressed up or down with accessories It gives me all the 90’s vibes and is under $20!
Lace Ombré Dress
The first thing I thought of when I saw this dress was a bridal shower! It’s a pretty white dress with a classy spin on it. Plus, they have a lavender version that would’ve matched my wedding colors perfectly.
It is lined everywhere except the sleeves, so even though they’re full-length you still get a little breeze on your arms to keep cool.
