My New Favorites for the Spring

Hi there and happy first day of spring!

The weather has been pretty back-and-forth here, but we’ve had a couple of warm, sunny days that are getting me excited for the new season.

I’ve mentioned before that I’m not a huge fan of summer and hot weather, but I do enjoy shopping for new spring and summer clothes to refresh my wardrobe when the time comes.

This month, I’ve been doing just that and I have some great new finds to share with you.

Here’s a look at my March shopping haul, including new favorite pieces to wear in the spring and the summer!

Pink Ruffle Bodysuit

I don’t own many pieces with ruffle details, but this bodysuit was too cute to pass up. I love the dusty pink color and, of course, the dainty sleeves.

This bodysuit is a tank top so it’s definitely cool enough for both spring and summer. Pair it with longer bottoms during the transition between seasons, or a pretty skirt or shorts in the warmer months.

This bodysuit is under $40 but you can get an extra 20% off with code LAURAC20.

Star Denim Jacket

The moment I saw this jacket I thought of July 4th. The star design along with the blue denim is just perfect for the holiday, but this jacket can be worn long before and after patriotic summer celebrations.

Denim jackets are a great staple for any season, but I especially like them in the warmer months because I tend to get cold, and they’re light enough to throw on over a bathing suit or tank top without getting overheated.

This jacket is under $50 with code LAURAC20.

Ruffle Tie-Back Dress

Another new ruffle piece for me! This pretty dress has cute ruffle details on the sleeves and hemline, and ties in the back.

It is has faint light pink and white stripes, and is so pretty paired with white sandals.

This one is already under $50 but you can get an extra 20% off with code LAURAC20.

Butterfly Jewelry

Butterflies have always been a favorite of mine, so I’m really glad to see them popping up everywhere! I got this large butterfly ring a couple of months ago, but the stacked necklace is new!

Both layers of the necklace come together as a set; I normally go for silver jewelry but I really liked the thin gold chain and, of course, the butterfly centerpiece.

The ring is also a great one because it’s super sparkly and glamorous. It’s the perfect addition to any range of outfits.

Floral Babydoll Dress

Florals are such a great pattern for the spring and summer; those are definitely the times of year that I wear them most.

This babydoll dress has a cute floral pattern and adjustable straps so you can control how much cleavage you show.

It goes great with any neutral accessories, but I especially like it with bright white sandals.

This dress is under $50 with code LAURAC20.

Crop Top Lounge Set

These cozy joggers and crop top come together as a set, and I’ve been wearing them nonstop. The set is great for lounging around the house, running errands, or even a casual brunch.

The material is lightweight, so it isn’t too warm, but it also pairs easily with a fuzzy cardigan and slippers, for anyone else whose cold temperatures are still hanging on.

The set is under $50 and you can get an extra 20% with code LAURAC20.

Faux Leather Jacket

I wrote separate post with different ways to style this jacket, but had to include it here, too.

The lilac color is so pretty and perfect for spring, and I’m not just saying that because it’s my favorite color.

I also love the buckle and zipper details on this jacket; they add a little bit of edge without hindering how widely pair-able this jacket is.

Snakeskin Sneakers

I love a good casual shoe for the spring, especially if it’s comfortable and easy to walk in. These suede and snakeskin kicks caught my eye last summer, but I never bought them.

I saw them back and on sale a few weeks ago and decided not to let them pass me by again. I’m so glad I went for it because I’ve already worn these shoes many times.

They have great neutral tones so they match with a lot of different outfits, and the pop of snakeskin can be a great addition to a simple outfit.

Shakespeare Skull Tee

Graphic tees have been super popular the last couple of years, and my love for them doesn’t stop at band tees.

This $14 Etsy find features a skull made out of flowers and greenery, which add a spring-y feel. The text, a quote from Hamlet, says, “We know what we are but not what we may be.”

This shirt goes great with any casual bottom and accessories. I have it tied in the front with long jeans and sneakers here.

Purple Leopard Bikini

This bikini has a purple leopard print pattern all around and a sexy cut. The bottoms have a more cheeky fit and it also comes with a semi-sheer sarong that matches the bathing suit.

It’s definitely a fun and flattering suit for a beach day, a summer trip, or laying by the pool.

All three pieces (top, bottom, and sarong) are under $35, but you can get an extra 20% off with code LAURAC20.

Neon Sporty Bikini

This two piece bathing suit was another Amazon find, and it comes in 12 different colors.

I love the bright pink and the sporty fit–the top feels supportive and comfortable like a sports bra, and the bottoms hit high on the hip, making them easier to move around in.

This is definitely the type of suit that you can run around on the beach in, or just lie out if that’s more your speed.

The top and bottom come together as a set; under $30 and free shipping with Prime.

Leopard High-Waisted Bikini

This bikini has a lot of fun features like leopard print ruched bottoms that can be worn high up or right on the waist and a wrap-around top that ties in the back.

There are over 20 color and pattern options; this particular one is under $20 and ships free with Prime.

Black Flowy Coverup

I found this beautiful coverup on ASOS for more than half off. It’s by Calvin Klein and is really breathtaking in person.

I love the two ties in the front, and the fact that the waist is adjustable so you can keep it super loose or have it accentuate your waist.

It’s semi-sheer, so you get to show a bit of your bathing suit either way, and looks equally awesome opened and closed.

Color Block Sweatpants

I love this two-toned sweatpants trend, and I especially love these mauve and black ones. I was excited to get them on sale for under $30.

The oversized fit is comfy and cool looking, and the waist is adjustable.

These pants pair great with a cropped or fitted top and your favorite sneakers.

Striped Sweater and Faux Leather Shorts

This lightweight striped sweater goes great with my new faux leather shorts from Amazon. The sweater is perfect for transitional weather and the shorts are high waisted and roomy for a comfortable but cute fit.

This look reminds me of Paris, and is definitely something I plan to wear on our trip to Europe, whenever we’re able to reschedule it.

These spiked black heeled sandals are also new and worth a look at!

Flowy Sweater and Lilac Sneakers

Here’s another lightweight sweater that goes great with long or short pants. The sleeves are fitted at the wrists but then flow out around the elbows, making for a cool, flowy fit.

These lilac sneakers are such a dreamy color and they fit in with the platform-looking sneaker trend. I love the pop of pastel color that they add to this neutral outfit.

Crop Lounge Set

This lounge set can be worn for both staying in and going out, and I love that about it.

The pale green color is great for spring, and it looks sassy paired with some trendy heeled sandals.

The crop top has a nice wide band along the bottom and thick straps that will cover a regular bra.

Tank Bodysuit

This neutral bodysuit has a cute button detail in the front, a scooped neckline, and thick straps that you can wear a regular bra with (clearly a feature that’s important to me).

It looks great with some high waisted mom shorts and sneakers, but could also work with a floral skirt, neutral heels, and a sun hat.
