I’ve mentioned on a few previous posts that I prefer dressing for cooler weather to dressing for warm weather, and one of the reasons definitely has to do with comfort.
For me, nothing compares to cozying up in some nice flowy sweatpants, soft leggings, oversized sweatshirts, and the like.
Working from home for the majority of this year has also caused me to lean more towards loungewear for my day-to-day style.
I wanted to share a few of my favorite comfies that I’ve been wearing a lot the past few months, and that I’ll continue wearing into the winter.
These are all basic outfits that I’ve worn around the house, but they also work for running errands and other casual outings.
These outfits make for great complete looks, but each piece is awesome on its own and is versatile enough to be paired with different items you may already have in your closet.
As usual, most are generally low-priced or discounted items, because while comfort and style are both important to me, good prices matter just as much!
In true Laura fashion, I’m starting off this post with some leopard print. Hey, at least I’m consistent. This Amazon Prime top is both casual and comfortable, and the long sleeves make it perfect for cooler temperatures. It’s under $20 and comes in a few different patterns; they have short-sleeved versions, too!
The joggers are also from Amazon Prime and are under $15. I currently own these in brown (shown above) and navy blue, but will probably get more soon due to the price and how buttery soft they are. These joggers are for sure my #1 most-worn lounge item this year.
I got these sneakers during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale back in July, so they’re a bit more pricey now, but they were under $50 when I originally purchased them.
This cardigan is another great Amazon find and feels like you’re wearing a big, fuzzy blanket. It comes in 10 colors and is under $35.
The bodysuit is a closet staple for me; I’ve gotten a lot of use out of it in recent months. It’s still available in select colors and sizes, on sale under for $20!
Some jeans and casual loafers complete this homebody look.
If you’re more into lounging in workout wear, or if you need something a little cooler, this Zella crop top is the perfect thing.
Paired with some good leggings (currently on sale for $21) and sneakers of your choice, this is a fun and sporty look for the fall.
This is a true lounge outfit for me, in case the bare feet didn’t give it away. A basic cami and leggings are all I need to sit in front of my laptop and work all day. 😛
This particular cami comes in 25 colors and is only $5, and these Spanx leggings are currently on sale.
This is a nice fall look for those who live in warmer climates or anyone who’s going to be staying cozy indoors.
I also love an athletic outfit from time to time. The funnel neck on this hoodie is a godsend when it’s windy out, and is on sale for $45 with 9 other color options.
Spanx leggings are always a little pricier, but their faux leather pairs are well worth it, in my opinion. These shiny leopard print ones are my favorite for the fall and are currently on sale. They add a really nice pop to this otherwise all-black ensemble.
I purchased this sweater after seeing it on Instagram and am so glad I did! It looks great tucked in or loose with leggings, as shown here. I got it in both cream and black, and it’s currently on sale for only $22.
This is a different pair of leggings than the Express ones I shared above; these are also high-waisted and only $12!
The sneakers aren’t on sale and are running low on sizes, but I also have these in two colors and am crazy about the subtle pop of leopard.
Like many others, I also love a good flannel this time of year. I don’t own many, but this neutral-colored one goes well with so many things in my closet. I love flannels and button downs because they’re super easy to style for both warmer and cooler weather.
These are the same New Balance sneakers from the previous picture, but I’m showing off both colors that I own this time. I also wear these out the same way.
These are my favorite comfy and casual looks for fall 2020. Comment below to let me know which is your favorite.
Stay cozy and safe, friends! I’ll be back soon with a spooky post for the next installment of the Sunday Scaries 😉
